Belmonte begins : “When shopping for yoga pants, it is imperative to keep length, fit and color in mind. You need to make sure the hemline of the pants is not too long. Yoga pants can help make your legs look leaner and longer, but if the fabric pools around your ankles or drags, you will appear shorter. It is a pain to hem yoga pants – and any pants for that matter –, so it is best to keep searching until you find the right length – just below the ankle.”

She goes further into fit by stating: ” As for fit, you want to make sure your yoga pants show off your shapeliness. Always try on the pants before purchasing them and be sure to check out the fit from every angle, paying close attention to how the fabric rests on your thighs and posterior. You don’t want the pants to accentuate any trouble spots you may have, so pick a fit that is snug but does not strangle.”

Lastly, if you wondering what color yoga pants Belmonte recommends,  she states that black is the best bet In regards to color and that she would not recommend light grays or bright colors unless you are very comfortable with the current look of your legs, because these shades tend to be less forgiving and accentuate flaws.

WMO Running Girl Chelsea takes time out of her busy dancing schedule to focus on herself. Yoga is the perfect release.

Yoga is about you and no one else, it is about your mind and body and what you choose to do with it. It is time that is set aside to focus on you, for you to reconvene with yourself and check in on how you personally are doing. Each exhaled breath releases more and more tension and stress and enables you to let go of all the negativity that can be found in your life. You are left with a clear mind, refocused, balanced and ready to take on the world once again.

So how does the doctor fit into all of this? Easy. When you build up tension, anxiety, and stress you run the chance of weakening your immune system and/or increasing your blood pressure. Both of these can lead to the doctors office due to a cold, infections, or even heart disease.

So take out some time in your day, even if it is for 10 minutes, close your eyes, position yourself in your favorite yoga pose, and focus on your breathing. Not only will it work the kinks out of our muscles, it will benefit your health in the short run and long run!
